Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

Hi

Any help much appreciated; I have Virgin WiFi and Virgin superhub 3.0.

I am currently using the deco M5 in access point mode, so I have virgin emitting WiFi and the deco emitting WiFi. This is probably not a good idea.....?

If I manage to switch the Virgin Hub to operate as a modem only, do I then switch deco to operate in 'router mode'?

Basically, my son and I experience problems using Xbox online via double NAT etc.

is this likely to be solved by doing the above?

many thanks!!

@Jimbojetset

If the Virgin super hub still works as a wireless router, it is suggested to configure the Deco as access point mode to avoid the double NAT issue.

And you can try to disable the wifi network on the super hub and use the mesh wifi network of the Deco only.

Or per you said, you can setup the hub as modem only, and then setup the Deco as a regular wireless router.

As far as I know, there won't be double NAT issue when the hub works as the bridge mode only.

You can give it a go anyway. Any problem, just let us know.
