Hi!

Quick question. I don't need to activate the Trend Micro AV to activate the M5 firewall, do I? The documentation is a bit lean in this area.

@Kjell

The Deco M5 has the built-in SPI firewall, which is isolated from TM antivirus.

With antivirus turned on/off,  it won't affect the performance of firewall.

Thanks!

I suspected that, but it's good to have it confirmed. 👍🏻

Is there any way to disable the firewall? I'm using the Deco M5 kind of in the middle of my network, and need to allow hosts on the "WAN" side of the Deco to access wireless hosts connected via the Deco M5s. My M5's are running 1.4.4. Thanks!

@taps

Hi, did you mean the TrendMicro Antivirus firewall?

If yes, you could go to overview>Antivirus and turn off the three options on this page;

Thank you very much.
