Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.1

Hi all,

I have ATT Fiber at home and have been trying to get it compatible with my Decos. I play Xbox, so my problem was connecting the decos in router mode and getting rid of the "strict double nat" issue on my Xbox. To solve this, I put the Deco in IP Passthrough mode, and completely disabled the firewall on my att gateway (packet filter and the advanced firewall settings). I also disabled WiFi on it, so that the only device on there is the Deco (that's also the only device plugged in). My question is, does the Deco still protect my devices from the web even if the ATT router/gateway has no protection? I'm assuming yes but I'm just wanting to confirm... I am also wanting to turn IPv6 on for gaming if anyone knows if that's safe with my setup :)

Thanks!
