Model: Archer C5400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi.

My C5400, purchased on Amazon.fr (France), shows a "DE" country code, which is Germany.

The problem is that the 2nd 5Ghz WiFi network, on auto, switches to channel 116, which my (purchased in and set up for France) MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad, cannot see.

I guess 116 is a valid channrel in Germany but not in France.

(note that my MacBook Pro sees channels such as 100, 112 or 136, so it is not a matter of upper limit)

How can I change that setting?

Note: since this is the Eurpean Union, it is perfectly normal to sell in France a device sources in Germany, and it is supposed to work correctly in France, as well as all other countries of the EU.

Thanks for your requesting.

For your information, the EU version products use DE as country code together; their wireless standards are the same, therefore it won't affect the performance of the router.

Meanwhile, as you mentioned the Macbook can see channel 100, 112 and 136 which belongs to band 3, theoretically, they can see channel 116 (band 3) as well.

Cause it cannot be detected with channel 116, you can login to the web UI of the Archer C5400 and go to advanced-wireless settings page to change the channel of 5GHz.

Best regards.
