Unable to manually set a specific 4G band (MR600)
Hi,
I was unable to find a setting to manually force the use of a specific 4G band.
For example, sometimes the router uses the band 20 instead of 1/3/7 which are much more faster than the 20 one, resulting in a drastic reduce in network speed.
I know for sure that with router of other brand is possible to set this option. Is it possible to enable it with a (beta) firmware update?
Thanks.

this is a big deficiency for tp-link and you need to solve it urgently. (I have the error) I rely on the tp-link brand from the research, with the mr200 modem and now with a stupid box, I am unable to make the adjustment that even simple, unnamed modems can do. If you do not solve this problem in a short time, I will call myself a sucker to sell the modem, or unfortunately I will have to rely on the black hat software developers and have the firmware file edited. Thank you very much for leaving your customers in this situation.

I am honestly quite disappointed to not find this feature implemented. Thought this should be self-evident when buying TP-Link's flagship 4G Router.
I need this. And I need it now.
In the meanwhile I'm considering to go for another router and to return my Archer. Communication in this thread speaks for itself, and I don't think the promised update will appear soon...

Great. I just downloaded the firmware beta and made the upgrade of my MR600. Now I can choose the two bands to use. Thank you very much 😊

@Kevin_Z Could you please let us know when the next firmware release would be? I really hope the band-lock feature is included. It's quite disappointing to see the router latch on to the lower frequency bands and there's we can do about it.
