Unable to manually set a specific 4G band (MR600)
Hi,
I was unable to find a setting to manually force the use of a specific 4G band.
For example, sometimes the router uses the band 20 instead of 1/3/7 which are much more faster than the 20 one, resulting in a drastic reduce in network speed.
I know for sure that with router of other brand is possible to set this option. Is it possible to enable it with a (beta) firmware update?
Thanks.

i totally agree , this is very important feature to have , i also have a much better internet quality on 2600MHz Band and my router keeps locking at 900MHz for no reason ..
I hope that the next firmware will include this feature otherwise this router is useless to me and i would prefer to go back to my huwaui B593 where i am able to select the band i want

Thanks, noted that. There is a plan to add this feature in the future, while the ETA is still uncertain.

Hello,
Here in France the mobile ISP Free Telecom has enabled a no limit monthly download plan, but only on its 700Mhz (28) band.
So before I (and many others in my case I presume) sell my MR600 and buy a Huawei, please fix this feature ! :)
Cheers

@Kevin_Z
This has been months now, all we keep hearing is that it will be passed onto the relevant team.
Can we get some sort of feedback from the relevant team as to when this will be implemented or even if its feasible.
I'm becoming increasingly frustrated.

Still no update or any ETA.
At least give us a beta firmware or a direct contact with your engineers.

I want to emphasize that request. I really need this feature to specify the LTE band. Band 20 is so slow.

Just bought this router and couldn't believe this feature is not available ...
Like a lot of people I'm stuck at home due to coronavirous and I have to rely on 4G for my work, not being able to get the best connectivity is a problem.

OMG ! I can't belive this ! you took very long time, and we still waiting ! HOW tp-link did not add this option (change 4G bands) on first firmware ?!
I thought this modem has this option, I'll rate it 2/5 for now.
I need to change between these bands 700 - 1800 - 2100 - 2300
and mix two alteast 4G+
please work faster for this, you took long time, and this is bad for your reputation.
