How to remove registered clients from clients list
How do I remove old registered clients from the router (an internal table with device names/MAC addresses)? When creating a parental control, I get an enormous list of devices that aren't in the network any longer, on many pages. I want to rescan the network and eliminate those entries. How do I do that without a factory reset?
I don't mean removing devices from a parental control, I mean removing the decice registrations from the router internal tables so they don't appear as an option when creating a parental control.

@DJE666, don't even try. After exporting the settings, resetting the router and reloading the settings, the device list comes back. I tried that.

@MuruSK I'd go with Ubiquiti routers. In terms of maintainability, with the Unifi controller, managing routers/access points is a breeze.

Same issue here -- all devices are being shown that were connected any time.
Additional issue is that you cannot configure new client that is not displayed in the list.
I have additional devices that are on the network , i. have assigned IP to MAC, but these never shown in the device list.
firmware 1.2.5, Hardware AC5400 v2

Hello, thanks for bringing this up again. As we replied earlier that this was reported to the developers years ago, while we are sorry that this was not optimized. We cannot guarantee either that this will be optimized in the future, we are sorry about it.
If this really annoys you, it is suggested to reset the router to the factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch, but not import the previous config files.

I am confronting this problem for the first time after purchasing a new A7 and testing the parental controls option.
I agree with the others that this is a ridiculous problem to have,
and after this question has been asked for years by many users,
it does not appear that TP-LINK has any priority to support existing customers.
