C5400x Gigabit Speed Issue
Hey Guys!
I own a TP-Link Archer 5400x router which has been working well atleast until I actually looked at my download speeds and did a speed test.... So I have gigabyte internet and realised that I was only downloading at 300 - 400 Mbps and when I did a speed test I got the exact same result. When I reboot my router I instantly get over 1 Gbps download and test speed but I don't understand why this is happening and how I can fix it so it doesn't happy every day. From what I can tell my speeds reduce again over a few hours until its locked again to around the 300-350 Mbps .
I have also tried plugging straight into my modem which fixes the issue so its for sure something to do with the router.... I was thinking maybe a QoS issue but I can't disable it...
Any suggestions?

Really now, can someone respond to us, those that have the problem with the download speeds and we didn't get our hands on that beta firmware??
You are selling products that advertise gigabit speeds supported but we can't even download at 400 coes we are capped at 290 to 340 Mbps, although we have gigabit networks.
Please, can we have that beta firmware so we can update our routers?

I don't know if you are real with that reply but, what steps? You attached to those words a link which redirects you towards a website which has the same name as your avatar.

Yeah, shady way to get clicks. I'm not sure what "steps" that site has.
Those off you wondering about where to get the update, Kevin sends you the link via message. I'd post it, but I don't they don't want it out in the public. It's a beta file and it has an ugly watermark. It seems to fix download speeds, but I haven't tested all features.

I know Kevin sends the firmware but still, he is nowhere to be found... In the meantime, we stay with the broken firmware ( the firmware that came with the rounter btw which is mindblowing that they sell the routers like this ). I mean if i download something, i am capped at 30% of my speed because of the router. And this is not a common...
And what is wrong with all of this users that write links to other sites... Can't you beg for clicks and views somewhere else? Really now! Maybe we can have a modder warning this guys or something...

Thanks Fusic! I actually found this version of the firmware on another topic on the forum, short after i posted my last mesage here. I was testing it until now and wanted to post it here but saw your message. So if this is the latest beta version then yeah, untill now, after some testss, my router is having better speeds on download ( between 720 and 770 which is kinda max that it gets too ) but still not good enough... I expect more from this router at least regarding its speeds. Anyway i'm glad at least that i have aproximatly 700Mbps which iss better than 300...
I really hope this gets fixed soon.
And Merry Christmas to you too! :)
