I am trying to host a dynalite gateway to control some lights.

I have a static IP on 4g 

When I host an FTP server on my laptop connected via wifi the forwarded ports stay open

The Router will not hold the ports open for my dynalite gateway

i have set up mac adress reservation.

I have set up DMZ

I have forwarded large port ranges on udp and tcp.

I have diabled all firewalls

I have turned on icmp ping remote.

I think because the server is a passive server the router cant see the service and doesnt hold the port open. The dynalite gateway has an ftp server, Telnet, and Dynet translation server. all work on local connection. 

I imagine it would be the same level of networking that a stand alone NAS would have I.E. the modem doesnt see it as a computer on the dhcp.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
