Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20190620 Rel. 45372

Hi,

i have two deco ,linked in wifi, and my wifi speed max out only the 2.4 GHz. When i connect the laptop directly to the main deco with cable the speed is around 800 Mbps but in wifi only 300Mbps, even i disconnect the second Deco the speed don't change. Today i installed the new firmware but when i turn off the 2.4Ghz band the speed is the same and i watch with the android app Wifi Analyzer that the 2.4 network is still there with no SSID. I tried with a few phone (the negotiation speed say varied from 390 to 768 Mbps) and laptop and even two new Deco M4 and same result.

The M4 max speed is 300 so?

Kind regards

@Antonio89

For the speed issue, with main Deco connected to the modem only, you can connect your smart phone or computer to the Deco wifi network and run the speed test for 3 times.

Meanwhile, please click here to check the wireless negotiation speed on your device. Please notice that the actual speed equals 60% of the wireless negotiation speed, and considering the interference/obstacles, the actual speed will be lower. So compared to the varied wireless negotiation speed, the current wifi speed seems normal.

For the 2.4GHz detected by the wifi analyzer with 2.4GHz host network disabled, it is used for the wireless backhaul among the Deco units. It won't be detected by the regular wireless devices.
