Router stuck after inserting external drive
Everything works fine. The moment i connect my WD 4 TB external drive in usb 3.0 port, router gets stuck. All devices disconnected and not possible to connect again. The only way is to reboot the router. I tried Toshiba 1 TB drive, same thing happens. Please support!

What is the model number of the WD 4TB external drive? What is the format of it? Does it need external power supply?
With it plugged into the computer directly, does it work properly?
What is the led status of the C3150 with the drive plugged in? Can you get internet from it by wired cable? Please click here to check the IP and gateway obtained by your computer.
Are you able to reconnect to the Wifi network? If not, any error message?
Have you ever tried to plug the drive into USB 2.0 port to do a comparison test?

1. Model of 4TB disk is Western Digital My Passport
2. Doesn't need power supply.
3. NTFS format.
4. Yes, it works properly when it is plugged in the computer.
5. USB LED is on, all LEDs are on, but no internet wireless or wired.
6. I am not able to reconnect. If i do the diagnose of the newtork connection i get an error :THe DNS server isn't responding.
7. I tried USB 2.0, same issue.
In order to get it working, i need to switch off the router, take out the USB and switch on the routher again.
please support.

This IP is the internet IP address of the main router.
While we need ping the LAN IP of the C3150 when it gets stuck. So with the HDD plugged and router stucked, please try to ping the LAN IP of Archer C3150 and show us the screenshot of it.
Note: The LAN IP of Archer C3150 is 192.168.0.1 by default.
Then is there any error message if you cannot access the router? Please check the IP and gateway obtained by your computer at that point as the instruction below.
