C5400 unable to join the 2nd 5ghz network
I have no problems connecting to one of my 2 c5400 5ghz networks, I just can't connect to the second one.
i choose the SSID and enter the password (verified password) and it says that my password is incorrect then says unable to join network.
i tried changing the password on the device and still it won't work. I've not changed any other default values, no playing around.
i tried different devices and still no luck. What I want to do is assign the 2nd 5ghz network to my TV but can't at this point.

Is it 5GHz-1 or 5GHz-2 cannot be connected due to the incorrect password ( even though it is correct)?
If all the devices have the same issue--failed to connect to it?
Have you tried to disable the security and test whether you can connect to it?
What is the current firmware version of C5400?
Besides, have you tried to hard reset it to give it a shot?

Hi Kevin,
''the firmware is the latest, at least that what it says when I request a firmware update. It is the 2nd 5 ghz channel and I've performed a hard reset and even tried to remove all the security by enabling the guest wifi and still no luck.
i contacted support via the online chat feature, they were unable to,solve it except to suggest that I perform a hard reset which I did.
im thinking there's something mechanical wrong with this new router, I might have to return it..
cheers.

Would you mind do further troubleshooting with us, if it cannot be fixed, we will offer a replacement.
Have you ever removed the security for the 5GHz-2 and make it open? After that, can you connect your devices to it?
If not, any error message? Meanwhile, please try multiple devices to connect to the 5GHz-2 wifi network.
What is the serial number and mac address of it?When and where did you buy this router?

I just tried removing the security from 5GHz-2, then tried several devices to connect after clearing their network history, still it says 'Unable to join the network "JT2012_2", the first 5GHz-1 is named JT2012 and works fine as does 2.4GHz.
Firmware is: 1.2.2 Build 20170912 rel.56240(5553)
Hardware is: ArcherC5400 v2.0
MAC Address: B0-BE-76-8B-DD-C7
S/N: 218A011R00492
I bought this via Amazon.ca 2 days ago, I've been trying since then to connect to 5GHz-2 in every way that has been suggested and that I have tried, reset's, reboots, no security, changed passwords, changed SSID. I can see the network, I can select it but then my password always fails and eventually it tells me that it's unable to join the network. I even tried entering the wireless password that comes with the device, nothing seems to work. Please keep in mind that I have not changed any settings of the device from default except the SSID labels and passwords, no other settings were changed.
Thank you for your offer to help, I really like the device as I'm trying to replace my Google WIFI (4 pucks) and am hoping this will be the one.

I did one more test, I changed the channel of 5GHz-2 from Auto to 165 and I was able to connect but with very low performance. With 5Ghz-1 I get 500mbps downloads and with 5GHz-2 I get 80mbps, I have 1000mpbs service.
I did try to change the channel to 149, 153, 157, 161 and of course Auto and all them fail to accept the password - the only one that works is channel 165 but as I mention, it's slow.
Is there a solution to this?
Cheers.

Sorry to respond late, cause the 5GHz-2 failed to connect except using channel 165 and the speed is slow; you can contact our tech support to check the warranty.
