M7350 without battery
M7350 without battery
Can the M7350 run without a battery ? If so, what is the power required from the connected USB charger ?

Good day.
Mi-Fi products, like M7350, they are not recommended to use when it is still in charging, which would shorten the lifetime of the battery and the device sometimes would get much warmer.
Normally, we did not sell the battery individually; but the battery is also covered by warranty(the warranty time differs from regions) and you could contact the local support team to check
for warranty:https://www.tp-link.com/support/contact-technical-support/#Hotline-Support
Thank you very much!

The M7350 cannot run without the internal battery; There is an USB cable included on the package, you can use a charger to to power it on. The charger will adjust the voltage automatically theoretically.

I know the usage of the USB cable : since you say " you can use a charger to power it on", do you mean the M7350 can actually run
while connected to a charger via the USB cable but WITHOUT its battery inserted in the box ?
Thanks,

Considering the imponderable damage, we set limits on software of 4G MiFi so that charger cannot be used directly when battery is removed.

@Burhant i have to agree with you on this. I do use it in my car as well and connect to the power jack and a USB cable.
@Kevin_Z What sort of damage will having it on more than 15hours? imponderable damage is really a scary word to use. Will it blow up after 15 hours of continous usage?

I used the router at home for a couple of months and the battery swelled to the point of pushing the back lid open. I disposed of the battery right away, but now the router is useless and I can't find a replacement anywhere, only counterfit ones.
I don't understand the security risk of using it without a battery to be honest...

@Sunshine So strange to see how you repeated your reply. You were rightly told that it is strange and wrong not to allow the device to work without a battery when it is connected to 5v Direct CurrentC via USB. Because of this, the life of the battery is shortened and when the battery is dead, the router itself is completely useless!
