Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.15 Build 170912 Rel.75663n

Hello,

I've been using my phone to get access to the internet with my PC, but I wanted to try to use TL-MR6400 as a 4G router.

After putting my SIM inside, everything goes well but there are a lot of disconnections, sometimes every 5 seconds, sometimes every 10 minutes, it's random.

Also, the phone's connection is stable, but the router's got higher speed. That's why i'd like to use the router instead of my phone.

I am connected with a RJ45 wire. Router tells me 75% connection power.

Thanks for your help, tell me if you need more details smiley

Lucas

Hi,

What is the light status of the MR6400when the connection drops out?

At that time, please login to the web UI and take a snapshot of the status page and export  to us; and please go to advanced-system tools-system log, save log and send it to us.

Note: How to access the web interface: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1678/

Meanwhile, you can try to create the profile manually with the related APN informaton to give it a shot.

Besides, please tell us the current hardware and firmware version.

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day.

Thanks for your answer, I changed in Network tab Data Roaming to enable and Network Mode to 4G only.

I feel like there is no more internet interruption.

Nevertheless, do you know how can I change DNS Server ?

Here you can see Firmware and Hardware version. Thanks.

Hi,

Once you logged into the web interface, go to DHCP-DHCP settings to change the DNS server.

Meanwhile, the current firmware is not the latest one, you can update it as well.

Per I said before, you can create a profile manually with the APN related information.

Good day.
