My ancient Asus Router is on the way out, it lived a hardy life of gaming and pr0n but it's finally about to give up the ghost. I have been looking at new Asus models but while searching for a replacement I saw that the TP-Link AC2300 seemed to be pretty solid, so I thought I would see if anyone here owns /has owned one and what your thoughts were?

I am single, live alone in an apartment, and typically most of my items are wired. I connect my phone, two FireTV 4k sticks, and I think a Nintendo Switch to WiFi. It's a 1 bedroom with 1 wall between the bedroom and router, if that matters. Pornhub  Tubegalore

Mostly just play games on PC and Ps4 (wired) and watch movies from a ReadyNAS which stream to the FireTVs.

Just looking for info in regard to stability, transfer speed across wired connections, any gotchas I should be aware of, etc. I probably won't even flash a custom firmware like WRT unless there is a really compelling reason to do so.

Hope to hear from you! Thank you in advance! Youjizz
