Model: Archer A2300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Latest

Just got finished installing an AC2300, and either I'm blind or it's not there but I can't find the option in setup to disable WPS.

Can anyone offer some guidance?

Hi,

There is no WPS switch on the web interface of the A2300. Only when you press the WPS button on the router or on its web interface and press the WPS button on your wireless devices, they can build up the wireless connection, so don't worry about that.

Additionally, it is suggested to create a strong wireless password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz for any security concerns.

Good days.

@Kevin_Z

I do have a strong password set for the wireless networks.

Out of habit and an abundance of caution I usually disable WPS, because sometimes it's hard to restrict physical access to the router and the WPS button is a security problem.

If you could pass it along to the appropriate people, having an option to disable WPS would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help.
