Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I really don't know anything about this stuff so please excuse my ignorance if I ask a stupid question. I have just set up my new Deco M4 wifi. The main network says secured but the guest one is open. I don't know if this is ok or not, instinct says open network is bad?? I don't know what/if I need to do something? Any help in words of less than 2 syllables would be great!

Hi,

The guest network is open by default, that means other devices can connect to the network without permission. While you can customize the wifi settings of the guest network,

Open Deco app, go to Wi-Fi page and scroll down it, you can see the Guest network option, there you can create a password for it.

May it help. Good day.
