I'm facing a stupid problem. The 740N I got is pretty old now so I have another router and I want to use 740N as a bridge to extend my main router's wireless service. The main router has Mac Filtering enabled and I've entered the 740N's Mac address into the main router. I have switched off 740N's DHCP, changed it's IP etc. I can connect to 740N but 740N is not connecting to the main router. I've tried the same thing at my office where the main router is a 8961ND and I successfully bridged and connected the 740N but it's not working at my home. Can you guys please help me out !?!

Thanks.

How about disabling the Mac Filtering temporarily to have a test whether TL-WR740N will function or not?
By the way, is the TL-WR740N wired connected to 8961ND as well? I heard that 740N cannot WDS 8961ND due to the limitation of the chipset...

Sorry I wasn't clear I didn't bridge 740N directly to 8961ND I bridged it to 940N and 940N was bridged to 8961ND so the 740N was indirectly bridged to 8961ND and there were no lan connections to any of the router. The main router at my home is 841N.

940N cannot WDS 8961ND due to the limitation of the chipset as well...
If you are trying to boost wireless signal from 8961, in my case, I'm using a special range extender, WA830RE, a very good device indeed.

Well I don't know if 940N can't but I surely bridged it to 8961ND and I'll bridge it again in a few days to 8961ND
