Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.3.0.0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 170809 Rel 42095n

Hi,

I have a creepy problem with my USB port on the Archer VR2800 problem. Can someone help me please.

I have two external hard drive 500GB and 4TB. When I plugin the 500 Gb drive to the USB port it gets recognised and I can use it as a network drive.

As soon as I plug in my 4TB Drive the problem starts after the drive is detected.

- the Internet stops working

- I cannot login to the router.

Totally blocked. I then have to remove the drive and restart the router to get it normal.

The same happens with both the USB ports. My 4TB Drive as high resolution 4k movies on it.

Can someone help me with this as I don't know what is going on. Thanks.

Hi,

What is the model number of the 4TB HDD? And what is the format?

Meanwhile, it is suggested to disable media server to give it a shot.

Any updates, please let us know.

Good day.

What formats are the USB drives as TP-Link does not work with some formats such as the Apple formats.
