I have just purchased TL-PA4020P Kit and was wondering what good looks like.

With wifi turned off.

Both adapters are plugged directly into the wall.

If I plug my laptop directly into a port on the adapter at the router I can get approx 70Mbps download and 18Mbps upload using speedtest.net.

If I plug my laptop directly into a port on the second adapter in my Study I can get approx 45Mbps download and 17Mbps upload using the speedtest.net.

So whilst my upload speed seems to remain constant I am losing about 25Mbps on my download speed. Is this expected, perhaps it is good?

Any help or advise would be greatly apprecaited.

Is there anywhere I can reference that will help me understand what good looks like? I am just trying to learn whether it is as good as it gets or should I expect better?

Thank you for your help

What's the distance between those two powerline?

Install tpPLC utility to check the rate. If it's too slow, then source could be distance, or other appliances around.
