My TD-W8968 has begun to freeze up. It had been running for about two hours before this happened. It's a "slow" process that starts with the web interface being
unavailable, i'm unable to connect to the modems web interface.
And at about the same time it becomes impossible to connect new devices to the wireless network. Right about this point i did a speed test over the modem
and performance was abysmal.
It was so slow that my web browser believed that it was offline! But i was able to re run the internet speed test once more before it totaly locked up! At this point
it was impossible to use the TD-W8968.
This was the,, i don't know,, perhaps the fifth time it happened in a row. It has been running perfect for two months before it began acting up like this.
I have done a reset of the modem, didn't solve the problem.
I have also done a reflash of the firmware, i've had the latest firmware since i bought the TD-W8968. But the reflash didn't solve it :(
Any thoughts?

Please make a very simple test. Replace the original power supply with a switching power supply 12V 2A (original is 1.5A).
We solved some problem in Italy in this way.

I replaced the power supply to a 2A, I hope it works. Thanks.
I've downgraded to 120802 and already downloaded 2-3GB torrents.
And since then no disconnections either.
Did the downgrade to 120802 solve the issue? Thanks.

Nothing Change, the only difference between old firmware and new ones is that with old firmware router rebooted when freeze, and in new one you need do it by hands.

Yes, if you see this is not power supply issue. It is firmware stuck. ;)
I do not understand why they did not read this forum, maybe because it is also like firmware BETA...:confused:
I warn You all. TP released NEW firmware, that I give you link before. The problem will be if you try to downgrade this new firmware (TD-W8968_V1_130217) with Any old one. Router will not turn ON normally!
I do not know what helped to me to turn it on, but it give me too much time to make it work.
Symptoms: Only LAN led is blinking, Then All leds blink ones, then again only lan led blinking all the time. If you will do this and have the same result try to push reset button on the back side of the router for ten seconds.

I'm having the same problem my tp-link freezes several times a day and only a hard reset will get it working again.I re-start tp-link, in accordance with the instructions to reinstall, and found that it can be used.Thank goodness

Please try as sugegsted to replace the original power supply with a new one with more A (ex. 12V 1.5A).
We solved in Italy many probelm like yours in this way.
If also with new power supply you will have again freeze you should ask a RMA for this.

It doesnot work, I`ve try with many power supply(1A, 2A, 5A)
RMA says that I should enable smth in wireless options. But I do not have this options and I totally sure that it is not a solution.

Please try to disable :
"Enable Fullcone NAT:" & "Enable IGMP Proxy:"
under : Network -> WAN Settings -> WAN Service Setup -> Advance option.
Disabling the above option fix my TD-W8968 freezing problem.
