Why doesn't the AV500 use DHCP?
Model : AV500
Hardware Version : WPA4220 v1
Firmware Version : 1.2.8 Build 140401 Rel 49960n
ISP :
I've installed an AV500 at a client's site and it's working fine except I'm a bit perplexed why the network doesn't use DHCP to get it's address - it appears to have to use a static IP address. The default is 192.168.1.1 which clashes quite nicely with their main Draytek router. I had to logon to the web interface and assign a valid static IP address.
Nearly all other "access point" devices use DHCP by default. Why not the AV500?
Thanks, Rob.
