@Kevin_Z

The IPV6 problem that i related is not caused by router because I retested by cable directly on DSL modem and the issue remains.

But I Downloaded the latest  beta BR release you uploaded. I have updated and be several tests using same configurations and variants and the problem remains.

Don't matter the wan connection type. I tested using modem connected on wan port using dynamic ip, fixed ip, or using the dsl modem on bridge mode and the router conected by ppoe. I tested using modem connected on a lan port.

Tried with router firewall turned off and turned on. Tried too with guest wifi turned on and turned off. No matter what I do, after some hours (more than 3 hours) no more multicast detection occurs.

The problem is not related only with Chromecast device (I Dont have one). On my case, media server on notebook and smart tv and media server on zenfone 3 ze520kl stop be detected.

So, independently by internet connection and using 3 different devices the issue remains.

I Read this on Google forum. ____________________ I installed on Router TP-LINK BR Beta Version and did not work as expected: Chromecast: OK TVSmart: Failed Also I did not find any new in the TP-LINK Forum to solve the problem. Waiting. ______________________________ So, I have the same problem. With the smart tv, and PMS (Media Server) on PC and Cell Android Asus ZE520KL. No matter tried the guest solution and others and nothing solve. Wherever tp-link maded to solve the chromecast problem (if really solved) they could be do with the port list down here. ____________________________ This is the Chromecast ports: With that being said, If you have strong knowledge of firewalls, , you can set things to allow certain traffic. Which ports does Chromecast use when connecting to external services? HTTP: TCP/80 HTTPS: TCP/443 DNS: UDP/53 SNTP: UDP/123 Which ports are used by Chromecast to communicate with computer/phone/tablet in the same network? SSDP: UDP/1900/multicast mDNS: UDP/5353/multicast TCP/8008 TCP/8009 Hope this information helps. ____________________ This is the other media servers and Smart TV ports (DLNA) I have been trying for sometime to get UMS t o operate as a service on Windows Server 2012 Essentials R2. Given this is a headless device then UMS will start with the system boot and not require a user logon. Thanks to https://github.com/UniversalMediaServer ... issues/686 I have finally found the correct firewall settings. I think these are generic and should apply to all versions of Windows .. UMS Firewall ports .. Inbound TCP (5001, 9001) UDP (1900) Outbound TCP ( 5001, 5002, 9001) UDP (1900) and Windows Media Streaming 1755, 7007 TCP, UDP

There is a curious thing. If the problem is Multicast, this firmware is totally crazy, because I turned off the Wireless Multcast redirection option, and, after reset, all work, and after hours, nothing work anymore.

Yesterday I had a try to put the DHCP ipv4 lease time to the maximum adjust.

The media server still being detected on my lan after 11 hours.

I will continue more tests.

If this really work, could be adjusted the dhcp lease time to more than 24 hours and activate the daily restart feature.

I expect to be true

Unfortunelly the servers stoped to been detected.

The DHCP lease was 2880 minutes (48 hours). After 17 hours I checked again, and not working.

@Kevin_Z

No error messages. Google home claims is not able to reach the chromecast anymore.

My network topology is pretty straight forward. This TP link is in AP mode connecting the WAN to my ISP router on the LAN port.

Installing the Beta firmware did make things worst since sometimes my laptop cannot access internet and that didn´t happened with the previous and stable firmware.

This is so annoying and random... I´m so disapointed with this product. There´s people on this thread that has been claiming for a solution for weeks.

Using a chromecast nowadays is such a standard configuration that you should include it in your smoke tests.
