I've been having awful issues with my VR400 recently. My ping times to the router itself using 2.4GHz from my PC (connected via T9UH wifi adapter) and my phone are anywhere upwards of 800ms. Disconnecting a few times and running Wi-Fi Optimizer seems to fix the issue temporarily.

The 5GHz wifi is also very temperamental, my PC will never connect to it (Windows just gives a "Unable to connect to this network" error) and on the rare occasion my phone manages to connect it cannot receive any internet.

If anyone has any sugegstions as to what could be the problem/how to address it that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hardware: Archer VR400 v1 00000000

@lordhogfred

I confirm to face the same identical issue:

- 5GHz band

- No other wifi ssid/signals (checked with wifi scanner)

- different client devices

- different wifi standards (a, n, ac)

- different band (auto, 20MHz, 40MHz, 80MHz)

the ssid is visible sometimes only, many times auto authentication fails, few times connection is extablished.

I see online that this is a common issue so i guess it's FW problem.

Please solve, VR400 without 5GHz is not worth the money.

If using 2.4GHz band, everything works like charm.
