Hi there,

I have a TD-W8960N running the latest version of firmaware available (1.4.0 Build 111108 Rel.40398n). It's a v1 but says v3 in the hardware info (this is because v1 and v3 share the same firmware).

I have started to use the Dynamic DNS feature and noticed it isn't working properly. It doesn't seem to send any updates of the IP address on the Dynamic DNS provider. I am trying this with No-ip, but the experience seems to be the same whatever Dynamic DNS provider is used.

v6 but same problem: http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?85024-DDNS-doesnt-update-automatically

# NOTE: In the below forum thread the user said he contacted TP-Link and was offered a firmware to try. Is it possible to get access to this firmware?

This functionality was part of why I bought the router and expect a simple feature such as this to work as advertised.

Further to this I noticed that I can not set the DDNS via telnet. Almost all other features work but the DDNS section is empty and does not accept commands...

Finally, and this is more of a feature request if I'm honest, I was surprised to find that the firmware does not currently allow the ability to alter the DDNS provider to the standard Custom ddns provider type, as explained here:

This is something that would be very easy to add, all while greatly improving over the current limited DDNS functionality.
