Deco BE85 SFP+
Deco BE85 SFP+
Hi,
If I connect a BE85 to a TP Link 3016F via SFP+ (5110-LR transceiver), the upload speed to the internet of an iPhone 16 Pro Max goes from 450Mbps to 250Mbps. If I connect the BE85 to the internet via the 10Gbps RJ45 port (to a TP Link SG2218), the upload speed of the iPhone goes up to 450Mbps.
If I connect a laptop directly to the BE85, on an Ethernet port, the upload speed is 450Mbps, so the issue isn't with the SFP+ port, it has something to do with how the traffic for this particular client is being forwarded to the SPF+ port.
If I connect via Wifi with a Macbook Pro, the download speeds are worse, but the upload speeds reach 320Mbps.
The Deco is operating in AP mode. I had similar issues in router mode.
These are worse results than what I'm getting from my old Deco XE75.
I updated my Deco BE85 to the 1.1.3 firmware, but everything seems the same (perhaps even slightly worse).
What can I do?
Best regards,
Alexandre

@David-TP I updated the ER8411 to the latest firmware and it solved all issues. Thanks for your time.

@David-TP you're going to laugh now. Having solved the issue with the first BE85, I connected a second one to a brand new SG3210X-M2 and... it has the exact same issue, even with the latest firmware (1.0.7 Build 20250123 Rel.42187). With ports set to 10G or 2.5G, traffic from iPhones gets throttled on the upload. I have to set ports to 1G to get full upload speed.
Since updating the ER8411 solved the issue for the first BE85, can you please speak with the team of the SG3210X-M2 so that they implement the same fix?
Thanks!
