Hi,

I bought the Deco XE75 Pro to replace my older TP-Link router Archer AC4000.

After setup I discovered that guest devices can see each other on the guest network (even though they can't see the main network as expected). Why?

My older router was not only isolating guest network from the main network, but also was isolating guests properly, allowing me to connect my work laptop to the guest WiFi without worrying about any possible interactions with other devices, including the guest ones. The "Device isolation" feature has the same problem, though it's explicitly explained in the feature description that the devices in isolation can still communicate with each other, which again begs the question - what for? But at least it's a bonus feature that I had no expectations for.

The Deco setup is simple - just 3 nodes over WiFi, with one connected to the internet via cable.

Will proper device isolation be added for the guest network in the future? I really expected "normal" guest network behavior, like in the older TP-Link router.

  @Michael-K

Thank you very much for the feedback.

They are not supposed to see each other over the Guest network.

Can you consistently reproduce this issue?

If possible, can you also share some screenshots or logs here of how you find the guest devices can see each other?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi @David-TP, thank you for quick response.

Yes, I can consistently reproduce it.

As I mentioned earlier it's a three node Deco XE75 Pro, where the main node is connected to my ISP modem over the ethernet cable and two satelites over WiFi.

Here i what I do -  I created a guest network in the Deco app (2.4 + 5 GHz, no 6 GHz)

I connected my PC to this guest network, and my phone to this guest network.

As far as I can see in the Deco app, both devices connected to the main node over WiFi, and are under the "Guest Network" list.

My phone got IP 192.168.68.57.

Whe I try to ping my phone from the PC - it works:

PC terminal:

```
> ping 192.168.68.57
Pinging 192.168.68.57 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.68.57: bytes=32 time=92ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.68.57: bytes=32 time=85ms TTL=64
```

But it shouldn't.

Just for reference, when I then connect the phone to my main network, it receives a new IP, and I cannot ping it from the PC, which is expected:

PC Terminal:

```
> ping 192.168.68.70
Pinging 192.168.68.70 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.68.74: Destination host unreachable.
```
