Wi-Fi Routers that support EasyMesh

Range Extenders that support EasyMesh

Decos that support EasyMesh

Recently, certain Deco models, such as Deco X50/X55 V1.2 have begun rolling out new software updates to support EasyMesh. This feature allows you to connect Deco devices with other EasyMesh-compatible routers or extenders from the same or different brands, creating a united mesh network that extends Wi-Fi coverage.

EasyMesh Configuration Guide

Before you start:

1. Please ensure the routers or extenders you plan to add support EasyMesh. Firmware upgrades may be required for certain models. Please check the user manual or ask the manufacturer before configuration.

2. Check for firmware updates and release notes to confirm which Deco models support EasyMesh. You may find similar notes like the below:

Two typical network layouts when connecting EasyMesh routers or extenders with a Deco network:

Method 1: Adding EasyMesh routers or extenders to an existing Deco network.

Method 2: Adding Deco to an existing EasyMesh network.

Note:

1. Some advanced functions might not be available when Deco works as an EasyMesh extender, such as network dial-up, HomeShield/Parental Controls/QoS, etc.

2. When "Add a Deco to the existing EasyMesh Network", Deco's original network will be reset and all data will be cleared. It will copy the network settings from the EasyMesh network and will adopt its network name and password. You may need to manually connect your phone/tablet to the new EasyMesh Wi-Fi.

I have x50 v1! My current network consists of Ax80,AX73,Ax72, I would like to add the deco x50 unit to this. Do you have any information on when the beta firmware for the x50 v1 will be released?

@Boribali Thank you for joining this discussion.

I apologize that I didn't get any advanced notice of whether or when the Deco X50 V1 will support EasyMesh. You may keep an eye on this thread or the Deco forum. Once there are any pre-release or beta firmware supports EasyMesh, David will notify the community:

Hi Kevin_Z ,

I do have some questions hopefully you can answer them all !

1:If i have Deco device that supports easy mesh like X50 can i connect all easy mesh i do have Currently to the Deco mesh through Deco app ?

2:when Deco B95 will receive the update to support easy mesh ? Why always the cheaper device get the more support and feature added firmware ?!

3: I would like to know who have a better range Deco X50 outdoor or Eero 7 outdoor (Amazon do claim that they have a range of 15,000 ft.² while Deco only have 2500 feet ) The difference they use sq ft while you guys use feet ? So which one is better in terms of the range !

Adding an EasyMesh device to your Deco network is pretty straightforward. Here's a quick guide:-

Power Up:- Plug in your new EasyMesh device and wait for it to boot up.
Reset (If Needed):- If it's a new device, you might need to reset it. Look for a tiny reset button, usually on the back or bottom. Use a paperclip or similar tool to press and hold it for a few seconds.
Open the Deco App-: Launch the Deco app on your phone.

Add a Device:- Look for an option like "Add a Device" or "Add a Node." Tap on it.
Follow the Prompts:- The app will guide you through the process. You might need to scan a QR code on the new device or enter a specific network name.
Connect the Devices:- The app will likely tell you to place the new device closer to your main Deco unit for initial setup.

Wait for the Magic:- The app will work its magic and configure the new device to join your mesh network.

Hi, you could take the following details for reference:

1:If i have Deco device that supports easy mesh like X50, can i connect all easy mesh i do have Currently to the Deco mesh through Deco app ?

-Theoritically, Yes.

2:when Deco B95 will receive the update to support easy mesh ? Why always the cheaper device get the more support and feature added firmware ?!

-So far, Deco X50_V1.2 is the first model that has integrated EasyMesh. There are plans to gradually introduce this feature to other models but there is no ETA for a specific model. Supporting EasyMesh is a significant advancement for Deco Mesh products and requires extensive UI modifications. Engineers are focusing on selecting stable and basic models to ensure that similar modifications can be more easily applied to other models in the future.

-I think it might be typo on Amazon. Deco should also use sq ft(You could check the overview on the official websites-1 Pack Coverage: up to 2,500 ft2/230 m2). Usually the advertised coverage serves as a general reference point. The actualy coverage can vary in house layout, wireless interference as well as other factors.

Best regards
