Learning the hardware version of the device
I am using RE300 model wifi range extender. I bought the device second hand and I have been using it for 2 days. I have some questions. What is the hardware version and what does it do? How can I find out the hardware version of the device? What are the differences between RE300 V1 and RE300 V2? I would be very grateful if you could answer my questions and help me. I could not see any information about the hardware version on the back of the device, on the box of the device and on the user manual of the device. However, according to the information you provided, although I am not sure about my device, I believe that the hardware version of the device is V1, relying on your information. Did you also get your range extender from a bulk-seller of refurbished products? I know they sometimes remove the labels, like they did on my box. The arrow in the picture points to where the label once was.
But according to TP-Link's Emulator for the RE300 V1 you should see the hardware version in the web GUI, like shown in the screenshot below.
