ECO Mode is a revolutionary feature that transforms your Deco into a power-saving device, helping you reduce electricity costs and save money. This mode offers three distinct energy-saving options tailored to your specific needs.
- Balanced Mode, prioritizes maintaining your current network performance while introducing modest energy savings. Although the power reduction in this mode may not be significant, it's a great choice for those who want to ensure a stable connection while minimizing energy consumption.
- Efficient Mode offers slightly better energy savings while still preserving the Mesh network's coverage and stability. This mode is ideal for users who value both energy efficiency and uninterrupted connectivity.
- Standby Mode is designed for maximum energy conservation. By reducing the router's power consumption to its lowest level, you can significantly cut down on electricity costs. However, please note that this mode may affect the Mesh network's performance, making it more suitable for situations like sleeping at night or when no one is home.
From the experimental data on Deco BE85, you can see that Standby Mode can save half of the power, which helps you save electricity bills when you go out.
What's more, ECO Mode gives you the flexibility to customize your energy-saving schedule. You can set the router to automatically switch to a specific mode based on your daily routine, ensuring optimal savings without compromising connectivity.
In conclusion, ECO Mode is a powerful tool that helps you save money on electricity bills while maintaining a reliable home network.

Hi, welcome to the community.
So far there hasn't been any news about Deco E4. I'm afraid it is not gonna happen in a short time.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi
Hello everyone in the forum. Glad to join.
Will we see the Eco mode on deco X10 please?
I wanted an upgrade to WiFi 6 (x10) from wifi5 (M4)
And to my surprise Eco mode went missing :(
Even though it was present in M4 before.

Hi David,
I really need to be able to turn off my internet at night for health reasons and I have no means to do so currently as I have no eco mode availability on the app. I'm running 3 X60's and two M5's on my network. Would have thought this functionality would be normal. Can you please advise if or when such function would be available?
Thank You

Did you consider to run the network with the M5 ad the "main deco"?
Maybe it's stupid but according to this:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/598600
M5 should be still having at least the 1.0 version of the mode. (Which is apparently too exclusive for the newer models)
;)
...and i wonder if you setup the older unit (M5) as the main unit: will the mode 1.0 return (?)

@David-TP Hi, thank you for the information.
I have a Mesh with three Deco X50-PoE, bought in April 2024. Are there any plans to allow Eco-Mode also for the X50-PoE via Firmware-Update?
Beste regards,
Martin
