EE sim APN settings?
EE sim APN settings?
I've just been attempting to set up a new X50-5G using an EE sim that I've been using successfully in another router for years using the settings below:
- Name: ee internet (lower case)
- user name: eesecure
- password: secure
- IP Type: IPv4 (select from dropdown)
- APN: everywhere
- keep ‘set DNS server manually’ as unchecked so its auto.
Can anyone tell me what the settings are for the X50? I tried many combinations of the above but couldn't get the internet connection to work and couldn't download the ISP settings either as part of the set up process
UPDATE: returned the Deco router in the end and replaced it with a more recent TP-Link model which worked first time. Thanks for all the replies!

@Kngdv341 thanks for the screenshot of the settings. I ended up returning the Deco router and getting a different TP link model which auto detected the EE settings on my sim and worked fine in minutes.
I'll try your settings if it should ever fail though.

Hi mate,
Which TP link model did you end up getting? Having the same issue as you.
Thanks

@AcerSwift I ended up with the TP-Link 5G AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 Telephony Router
(SKU: NX510V)
I bought it from a company called Transparent Communications, along with one of the mesh router units. Worked perfectly straight from the box. I've used it with 3 other sims since and they've all been detected correctly immediately too.

@Kngdv341 Hey there, im having the exact same issue with the same router. I have tried EVERYTHING you mentioned and still it didnt work. The ee sim works fine on my phone so its a problem with the router and the ee sim. Please help asap with any other solutions.

@Lucs1 Hi. I ended up buying a different router. See my previous message for details. I honestly think there's a software and hardware issue with the Deco, or more likely it's a dodgy batch? Some users seem to have no issues with it at all.

I notice the WAN IP address has not been populated. That is the same trouble I had with my EE SIM when used in my NX200.
I tried everything, but no luck! So, I reset it and then put in a Vodafone SIM, and it worked immediately! And now, the WAN details were populated and the only other difference I noted (possibly missed something else), was that the authentication type on Vodafone is CHAP and on EE is PAP.

@mc13 Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
If you still have the EE SIM card, could you please help me save the following details:
1. Insert the EE SIM back into Archer NX200.
2. Restart Archer NX220 once then save a copy of the system log under the Advanced>System tools>System logs(and send it to support.forum@tp-link.com)
EE is one of the main mobile service providers in the UK. I’m confident that local field tests have been conducted, and both the Deco X50-5G and Archer NX200 are supposed to work well with EE SIM plans. For more troubleshooting suggestions, please refer to Set Archer/Deco 4G/5G Routes with EE SIM.
Wait for your reply and best regards.
