DECO MESH M4 with UNIFI 500mbps, BUT GETS ONLY HALF THE SPEED WHEN TESTED
DECO MESH M4 with UNIFI 500mbps, BUT GETS ONLY HALF THE SPEED WHEN TESTED
recently gotten FOC upgrade from UNIFI to 500mbps ..
unfortunately, i can only get 240+mbps upon speed test.
according to the spec, i should be able to get with the ETHERNET connection, UNFORTUNATELY, that's not the case.
i wonder why ? ...
even with the WIFI of 5ghz connection, i should be able to, but none of this worked.
is the M4 supporting such speed ? ... or just for illustration purpose only ?

Thank you and did you get my message about the beta firmware?
I think it's worth a try for your case.
(The firmware upgrade instruction is also in the beta zip file.)
Best regards.

I got about similar speed as wireless on Satellite unit when using Ethernet connection on Satellite unit.
No improve in speed when changing from router mode to access point mode.
For troubleshoot purpose, I do not have extra cable to connect between Main and Satellite unit.
I have tried to play around the QoS setting. Setting to lower bandwidth, eg 100Mbps do not see any changes in speed, expecially the main unit, which still having great speed of 300Mbps. Is it an issue on QoS?

hi .. hmm ... still .. nothing improve ..
from the main deco ... 250+ mbps ...
the slave units ... even connected via ethernet backhaul ... not even reaching 100mbps
network sharing center shown the connections were on 1gbps ( capacity of connection ) ... but speedtest only gets >100mbps ...
not sure where and what went wrong ...
