Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200417 Rel.75138n

Hi Everyone —

I hope all of you are safe from the pandemic.

I have a question regarding the MR600.

I bought this antenna for my MR600. See image below. As you can see, the MIMO antenna can be placed outside and the whole antenna box is connected to a running antenna cable divided to two SMA male connectors.

I am wondering if this kind of antenna is ideal for carrier aggregation. Here are the details:

  • Supported by 3G/4G/4G+/5G Network
  • 100% original, can be used in any LTE modem on any network : Smart, TNT, Sun, Globe, TM, 3rd telco, etc
  • Supported Frequency: 1700-2700MHz (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 25, 34, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 53, 66, and 70) • Gain: 2 x 9 dBi • Polarization: Vertical and Horizontal / Cross • Cable: 15 meters
  • V.S.W.R:⩽1.5
  • Connector: SMA-Male (with PIN)

I am currently using Globe Telecom Philippines SIM with carrier aggregation of B3 and B28. Carrier aggregation works well with the provided bunny-ear antennas.

I was thinking at first that using the newly-bought outdoor antenna and connecting the two cables to my MR600 will help with gaining more signal and allow carrier aggregation, but I was not able to achieve that. I was only able to connect to B3 or B28 only when using this outdoor external antenna. I really want carrier aggregation to work with this external outdoor antenna but the provided bunny-ear antennas work better.

Did I am misinterpreting something? Do this kind of antenna can only receive a single band? If so, do I need to buy two separate LTE antennas with single SMA connectors like the one below and connect the two to each SMA port?

To anyone with experience with this scenario, sharing your experience will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Hi, as per the specifications of the MIMO antenna, it seems that it doesn't support band 28, you may need to confirm:

  • Supported Frequency: 1700-2700MHz (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 25, 34, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 53, 66, and 70) • Gain: 2 x 9 dBi • Polarization: Vertical and Horizontal / Cross • Cable: 15 meters
