Archer MR600(EU) V1 - BETA Firmware - Allowing selection of 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually
Hi all,
Following the long thread on the same subject discssing the BETA FW, as I said I would, TPLink have given me permission to share the FW download llink.
From TPLink - We recently released a beta firmware for Archer MR600(EU) V1 which can allow us to select 4G+bands for Archer MR600 manually.
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202004/20200420/Archer_MR600v1_1.1.0_0.9.1_[200417-rel75138]_up_boot_2020-04-20_08.44.31.zip
For Archer MR600, if you want to use its 4G+network, your SIM card should support the CA bands group Archer MR400 supports. Please check the attached picture and check if your SIM card supports the band groups on the list or not.
They asked me to state that, this BETA FW is for the Archer MR600(EU) V1 ONLY!
Neither TPLink nor me take any respnsbility if you flash a none-EU router.

@Piersandro Is the band selection irrespective of mode planned for official firmware ? I am not asking any time frame . Just wanted to know if this will be available someday.

is this Beta version country specific? if so, how can i get it for Saudi Arabia? most often 4G+ is dropping, speed is inconsistent, signal strength is always 75%. SIM is tested with other device showing full signal.

Hey everyone,
I asked TP-Link (the guy who provided me with the beta firmware) about an update, and here's his response:
"This function is still in the test and it will be added on a new hardware first, for MR600 V1, currently there is no specific time to release new firmware, but it will be added on next official firmware."
So I guess they are focusing on firmware for new hardware (MR600 V2, I presume?), and then they will update the official/stable firmware for the MR600 V1. For now, at least we have this beta FW!

So in otherwords, they have found an issue with the hardware, and want to push out a new product to fix that first!
Might explain the constant disconnections, and stalled connections on current model.
