Hi,

Router fired up with mandatory update and I did the usual quick setup on my new AX10 and start to test the connection. Everything seems normal until I start to play online game. It start to lag badly and causing disconnection. I tried below steps but nothing works:

-Smart connect Wifi 

-Using 5Ghz type of connection without AX bandwidth

-Move my PC / laptop close to the router with excellent signal

 

There is only 4 devices connected when I was gaming and even I tried all the above, nothing works. And when I plug back my old router, no issue at all. I was hoping to upgrade, but it clearly a big mistake, really disapointed with TPLink.

What about wired connection? Is it stable? 

 

When wifi stops working, is your client still connected to the wifi but no internet access, or it loses wifi connection totally? If it is the former one, please click here to get the IP address and gateway at that time. 

 

Besides, try to login to the web UI of AX10 when wifi got disconnected and show us a screenshot of the status page. 

 

You can change the wireless settings to give it a go, use 40MHz for 5GHz's channel width, and 36/40 for channel.

I didnt try out wired connection as I want this router to perform in wireless 5G. The wired connection I had for my setup is using home plug and it sucks big time, that is why I use wireless 5G connection on my old router. The connection will not drop entirely, the lag will just spike up and intermitently disconnect when I am playing online game. I am not sure what is the reason to try that bandwith channel, any reason ?
