Archer MR600 - 4G Bands selection
Echoing millions of others request, where is the update firmware to choose specific 4g bands?????!!!!!??????
and also on 4g+ bands tο choose 2 bands together????
Without this function, this router perform so badly that sharing hotspot via smartphone yield similar result. Why do people still buy this product? (Yes, if you have not yet bought this product, DON'T)
And guys, people did research before they bought this product. Imagine what your customer will think when they realize this issue before their purchase? Do you still think people will choose your product while others like Huawei is readily available?
Please put this on first priority. We have been patiently waiting for months.
Thanks.

Already sold my router because of this issue and bought an Asus 4g-ac68u router.
Can select the band now and speed is working like it should.
I would have bought the Huawei b715 but external antennas are behind the router so that was a no go for me because of narrow space where the router is.
So long TP-link and thanks for nothing.
Seriously, like 6 months and no support for this issue?
Never gonna buy your products again.

Hi @hmit and all
We are sorry that this router cannot satisfy your needs in time, while I have to say, which is not an excuse, we have forwarded this request to our product engineers, while it is not easy to add a feature as long as there are some feedback reported; first of all, solid foundation of the similar request is necessary, second, we need to evaluate the importance and the feasibility to add new feature.
Once we make a plan, RD team will take over and it is not a short time to release the firmware and test the performance; much more time will be needed; even though it seems like it is just a small change, but the whole layout needs to be considered; and round and round tests need to be done before the new firmware came out; We need ensure that the compatibility of different OS and carriers; the performance, including speed and stability is also important.
Definitely, we totally understand your frustration and request, we will push forward the whole process.
Good day.

I understand its not your fault. But please escalate this issue with your R&D department. I understand that "round and round tests need to be done before the new firmware came out", would you at least let us know the progress? It has already been 6 months, please at least tell us your R&D department has some progress right?

I second this request totally.
Router started -> on the 'right' bands -> Performance good. At some point (no feedback that it happens or why), the device decideds to change the bands -> Pings & Throughput fall down. While when the 'right' bands are selected, i get at least 30-40Mbit/s down, with the change to different band(s) the throughput sinks to as low as just 5Mbit/s and pings go up to 1k ms and more.

Thanks for your efforts. I'm currently running version 1.17.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200526 on MR200v4.
The functionality of selecting bands is not present. Nor in simple or advanced mode. Am I missing something?
