Thank for your feedback,  may I have a photo of the image? You could try some suggestions here: 

1. Try to switch between the night mode and day mode manually and hear if there is a click sound.

2. Shake the camera and see if it will work properly.

If the above troubleshooting steps do not help, sorry to tell you the camera should be defective , you could contact the local retailer and or local support to check warranty and with the forum information , hope this could help~
