Model: Deco X75
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:
I purchased a 3-pack TP-Link Deco X75 but am having problems installing it. In every room where I want to place a Deco I have a wired connection but only the 1st Deco I install connects via a network cable, Deco 2 & 3 only want to connect wirelessly to the 1st one I installed. The problem is that I also want wireless internet in my garage, which is wired and 10 meters behind my house, but when I connect the Deco there via a network cable, I can't get it installed. Wireless is also not possible because the distance between the Deco in the house and the garage is too far. I thought you could connect each Deco via a network cable to create the best possible wifi connection. What am I doing wrong as I am a novice in this and would like to get this resolved. Thanks.Connection plan

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have the model number of the ISP modem/gateway?

-It seems like all the Ethernet connections are connected directly to the modem.  Have you tried to set Deco into Access Point mode under More>Advanced>Operation Mode:

General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

It is also suggested to connect a laptop to the different Ethernet ports to confirm the laptop could get internet service properly.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Re:Problems installing
Sunday
Dear David, I have a modem from my internet provider Telenet, the brand is Sagem and the model is F3896LG-TN My main Deco is connected directly to my modem. I also connected the other Deco's directly to the modem. Am I supposed to connect the 2nd and 3rd Deco via a cable that starts from the main Deco, in other words connect each Deco to each other with a cable? Thanks in advance for your help. Best Regards Eric
