Problems after update Deco M4R to latest firmware 1.6.5
Problems after update Deco M4R to latest firmware 1.6.5

Hi,
after today's update of my Deco M4R to latest firmware (1.6.5 Build 20241231 Rel. 41802) offered automatically through my Android phone, I'm experiencing "strange" behaviour. Looks like nternet is working, BUT in app (version 3.8.145, Samsung phone) is showing on main page "No internet connection" on main unit (it's connected to the internet through LAN cable), if I go to detail, there is a info screen (see attachment). I have tried to restart Deco many times through the app even disconnect everything from power but it wasn't helpfull. Also Deco Lab/Wi-Fi Toolkit didn't bring any enlightment. The light on the top is blinking red and white.
What I have to do with that? Anybody else experiencing similar problems?
P.S.: for some reason I'm unable to upload logs from http://tplinkdeco.net/webpages/index.html#sysLog and can't put link here where they are uploaded so on request if you respond or flick me message.
Thanks,
Ondrej

Thanks everybody for help, it just fixed itself somehow, when I switched the app on at the morning, everything seems to be OK. Really don't know what happened, probably some Poltergeist :D

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.
" Looks like internet is working, BUT in the app (version 3.8.145, Samsung phone) is showing on main page "No internet connection" on main unit (it's connected to the internet through LAN cable),"
-To be clear, were you trying to say, that devices could still get internet access from Deco M4 while Deco APP reported "No internet connection" and its LED was also red/white flashing?
-Could you please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco APP log?-How to submit Deco APP log
(You could also attach the web system log with the APP log)
-May I know who your internet service provider is? How about the internet conenction type on M4, Dynamic IP, or PPPoE?
Here are some suggestions for your reference:
1. Please refer to this link to set IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4.-How to change DNS server settings on my Deco
2. Replace a new Ethernet cable to connect the ISP modem to the main Deco M4.
By the way, could you please do me a favor to edit the post subject to "Problems after update Deco M4R to latest firmware 1.6.5"? If other users were troubled with a similar issue, they could spot your post at once.
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi David,
thank you for response, about mentioned points:
1. "To be clear, were you trying to say, that devices could still get internet access from Deco M4 while Deco APP reported "No internet connection" and its LED was also red/white flashing?"
- yes
2. Could you please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco APP log?
- done
3. May I know who your internet service provider is? How about the internet connection type on M4, Dynamic IP, or PPPoE?
We are connected through https://www-starnet-cz.translate.goog/?_x_tr_sl=cs&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp.
IP is provided (fixed). We have some Ubiquity antenna on the roof and then LAN cable to the Deco router, source of signal is few hundred
meters away, no problems so far (can provide more details if needed)
4. Here are some suggestions for your reference:
1. Please refer to this link to set IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4
- thanks, I'll try
2. Replace a new Ethernet cable to connect the ISP modem to the main Deco M4.
- not needed I think, recently checked (changed) by technician, no problems until this update
5. By the way, could you please do me a favor to edit the post subject to "Problems after update Deco M4R to latest firmware 1.6.5"?
- done
Thank you, with regards Ondrej

@OndraHu You can try beta firmware 1.7.0 which has many new features on Deco M4 (V2)

And is it safe to do so? One article saying it's a trash... I don't want to worsen the problem.
Is it possible to revert to previous version if needed?

@ARGamingPK1 Hi Bro, Please add wifi channel and bandwidth selection manually oprion, Mac address filtering with white list and black list, please add transmission speed control option or wifi coverage option from low, medium to high, please add bandwidth allocation as per by client device, This deco M4 (US v2) always select busiest channel by itself and wifi signal is too low. Please add those feature, We have been deserving these functionality since 2020 and with no plan yet by developers..
