Is Wifi limited when the LAN connection is 100mb/s?
Hi,
I just replaced my old router with a TL-WR820N V2. I have the following configuration: Internet Modem -> Ethernet Cable -> TL-WR820N WAN Port TL-WR820N LAN Port -> Ethernet Cable -> PC Wifi is On Operating mode: Access Point If the PC connects at 100Mb/s and I do a speed test from WiFi I don't get more than 7Mb/s. If I do the test from the PC I get the maximum bandwidth of 50Mb/s. Now if the PC connects at 10Mb/s, then for the same speed test, WiFi gives me approximately 50Mb/s.
So apparently the speed I get from the Wifi depends on what speed the LAN port connects to the PC.
Is this normal? Is WiFi bandwith limited by LAN port?
