@Rich0682 I don't think so; I expect that there would be an "official" post when they do.

@ARGamingPK1 I think best thing to do is revert back to 1.5.8. Somehow they messed the latest update up on multiple things. Your lucky you even managed to get the new update working. It bricked mine.

@David-TP thank you for your responsiveness. i have temporary disconnected the ethernet backhaul and yes there is connection preference to select the signal source. i may have misunderstood this function, but i was expecting to be able to have my devices connected to the network to choose the connection. please correct me if im wrong
Hi, You are right and I am wrong. I thought the beta firmware for Deco S4 has added both-the signal source for the satellite Deco and the preferred Deco for mobile clients. After confirming with the engineers, it only added the first part. I am afraid we might need to wait for a new version of beta firmware. Sorry for the inconvenience and best regards.

Unfortunately, this Beta is not good & causing lots of trouble.
Every few minutes, the main deco has a solid red, and connectivity is completely lost, as is also reported by other members.
Is there any estimated release date for the fix, as going back would mean my furthest satellite deco would again try to connect to the root, rather than it's nearest deco.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
I hope you haven't reverted to 1.5.8 yet.
If yes, can I have a picture of your network layout? How are these Deco M4 connected, via WiFi or Ethernet cables?
Would you like to cooperate with our engineers for further assistance?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

I've not yet reverted.
Posting an image of my deco layout.
Once is connected through ethernet, the other uses the second ethernet connected deco as a satellite source.
To sum it up, one main deco, second deco on ethernet, and third using the second one(after 1.7.0) as a Wi-Fi source.
Surely, would love to connect with the engineers, as a solution is needed quickly.
thanks.

@David-TP This seems to be working well on 3 Deco M4 v2 units. Main Deco is acting as the router, and the other two are connected via WiFi only. No problems as of yet in the past 24 hours. Happy to see this update - wireless connections seem far more stable for the furthest Deco. Thanks!
