As a web designer I have to use FTP a lot, and it only works when intrusion detection is turned off in security settings. WHY?

this has been documented over 2 years ago but its still broken, WHY?

Likely due to FTP being old and insecure, the replacement is FTPS or SFTP.

I work with IDS systems daily and they all flag up FTP due to its low security. To be honest this appears to be working as expected
