The TP-Link VR2800 router has caused frustration for the writer, who previously held respect for TP-Link products. The issue is serious as it is used in their home office setup, where the local subnet is different from the default IP of 192.168.1.1 used by TP-Link. Despite changing the IP and DHCP to their desired settings, the router keeps resetting the IP back to 192.168.1.1 after any changes are made to the WiFi or VDSL settings. This causes subnet issues as the DHCP clients receive IPs from different subnets. I am curious if anyone else has experienced this issue and if the router is still under support.
