Add to Firmware - Bootp flags: 0x0000 (Unicast)
Hi Support,
I have been having issues recently where the Deco unit is not picking up the WAN ip of the Router in modem mode.
After doing multiple tests, it looks like it could be an block caused by new firmware on the router provided by the ISP.
I have been advised that a way to get this to work is to do the below:
" add Bootp flags: 0x0000 (Unicast) for WAN interface when doing Discover/request"
Is this something that can be added to the deco firmware so that i can test?
Currently have the Deco P9 v1
FW: 1.1.3 Build 20201228 Rel. 55057
Thank yo

Good day, thanks for the feedback.
You could enable WAN Unicast on the web UI(the last part):

Hi David
thank you for replying.
I do not seem to have that option when logging into the deco web interface. Is that only available on some deco models or is there a different firmware I can use ?
I am currently on
Model: P9(1.0) |
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20201228 Rel. 55057 |

Hi, Thanks for the update. Since there has been quite a while since Deco P9 did not get a firmware upgrade, I think the current version might not have the WAN Unicast on/off switch. In this way, I would like to follow up on your case via email to see if there is any other workaround from senior engineers. Please check whether you have got an email from me.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi David,
Thank you for your response, I can confirm that I have received your email and have replied.
As you have mentioned, there has not been an updated firmware to the Deco P9 in a very long time and feel that this model has been neglected in development as a lot of the other models seem to have more functionality and options released to them to which are also configurable in the Web interface.
Please could you kindly speak to your senior engineers and forward on the information that I have sent to see if we could get an updated firmware that contains more functionality and features that are in line with the other models as well as the WAN Unicast on/off switch
Thank you

Hi David,
had there been any further progress on this?
this is really causing issues and it looks like it is something easily fixed by deco.
thanks
