Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.11

Hello,

I have 2 Archer AX50, one in router mode and the other in AP mode, guest isolation in router mode works fine but not in AP mode witch defeats the purpose of a guest network, its just another SSID.

Is there a workaround to solve this? A firmware update? This is important and necessary.

Thank you.

Hi @MacJo

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Based on operating principle of guest network, guest isolation loses efficacy when router is in access point mode. If guest isolation is forced to be enabled, then clients which are connected to the guest network will not be able to get IP address and access the internet.

If you want the guest network of your second Archer AX50 can't access to the main network, it is suggested to change the second Archer AX50 back to router mode. Just make sure the IP address of second AX50 is different from the first one to avoid IP conflict.
