[Case One] DSL dropped out
@Spike1 Hi, Sorry for directing you to this post. I think it could be more convenient if we start troubleshooting here.
Since the latest firmware for Archer VR2100 has been released, please make sure your firmware Is up to date
Then if the issue continues, please contact the Technical support or reply below with the following information:
1. Some pictures of the Advanced>Status page before and after the DSL connection dropped out.
2. The system log for about 10mins after the internet connection was disconnected.
3. How often did the connection drop out?

@TP-Link sorry for the delayed response. I just gave up on it, it was completely unusable. I reverted back to 20210619. Whilst that is more stable, it still drops connection, or think it is connected but fails to work. Only a power reboot sorts it. Is there a more recent update beyond the one I had been using?

Hi, Thank you very much for getting back to me.
No, I am afraid there is no newer firmware version than Archer VR2100(EU)_V1_210722.
Thank you and Merry Christmas.

@TP-Link I have Firmware Version:1.5.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 210910 Rel.41101n is that a newer release or just a fork? This version suffers from the DSL instability as well. Any idea when your company will fix the DSL problems (quite a few of us) we're having?

Model: Archer VR2100v
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.7.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 220115 Rel.1642n
Connection: Germany , Telekom VDSL Magenta L with 100MBit Download and 40Mbit Ubload
Hello TP Link Team,
Since the update to 1.7.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 220115 Rel.1642n I've had problems reaching my full Internet speed.
Before the Ubdate I only had occasional problems with it and after a reboot or 2 or reconnects the problem went away.
All works fine before Ubdate, with 108MBit Download and 48MBit Ubload.
According to Deutsche Telekom, there is no fault and it seems to be the router! It's pretty much exactly 50% of the maximum power available.

@TP-Link I recently bought this router, it came with Archer VR2100(EU)_V1_200116 I believe but I immediately updated it to the latest firmware. I have been having some problems where the internet stops working after about a day. It is still synced to exchange but internet won't connect, disconnecting it and reconnecting doesn't work, the only thing that works is rebooting the router. Then I saw this thread and saw it might be the firmware so I have downgraded to Archer VR2100(EU)_V1_200116 again, it's too soon to say whether it's working properly but it *seems* faster navigating websites so far?! I upgraded from a Archer VR600 V2 as it was getting old and not supported anymore. I am on Vodafone UK ISP.

@Wuffi84 It's odd, I don't think I had that problem on 20210722 but I had another problem with the internet stopping after about a day and was only fixed by a reboot. I tried a beta firmware I found somewhere called Archer_VR2100V1_1.5.0_0.9.1_up_boot(220402) but twice it synced at a lot slower speed with 16.1 SNR when normally it handles around 3-6. After that I went back to Archer VR2100(EU)_V1_200116 and it synced at around the normal speed and haven't had a problem so far, but it's early days.

I have contacted directly with Polish TP-Link support and we did some test and troubleshooting. I have received month ago beta firmware (1.6.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 220518 Rel.41627n) and it's working very well, it's stable and solid :) i hope they push it to stable branch very fast so you gus can have rock solid connection too :)
