Future Consideration Deco app missing "Internet Speed Test"
I recently purchased the Deco X20 to acommodate a 1gig fiber install. I was referred to the Deco X20 by a friend who has a similar setup. On his app he is able to check the speed of the main Deco remotely via his app when he goes to more, and then internet speed test. My app does not show that feature. Is it hidden somewhere in the newer version of the app?

Came here just to say this. It makes no sense whatsoever to remove this feature. It is one of, if not the only way to measure the actual speed between your ISP and your router. How is that not a viral asset to have? Do better TP-Link and please add this feature back. What possible downside could there be?

@Justin8207 +1 for this. I've had this feature in the past and it's been immensely useful in working through issues with my telco.
I don't understand how this can just be removed without considering the effect on people who've already bought their units.

@Justin8207 Yes I would like to see this feature brought back, its a must have to troubleshoot for the blame game of the ISP saying its TP links slow routers and not the ISPs fault.
With the test internet connection button you can tell if the ISP is delivering you the correct speed you pay for.
I had to plug in my original router to do this test which is pain
BRING BACK THIS FEATURE.

@Justin8207 just adding my voice to the mix.
Monday I purchased the TP-Link Deco Mesh AXE11000. I have a 2.5gbps fiber connection plugged into the WAN 10gbps port. All the LAN ports are 1gbps, so I cannot do a full-speed ethernet speed test. I needed the speed test to validate that the direct connection was working properly (something currently on my Google Nest Pro).
I returned the device today because this feature was not available.

@TP-Link I have the deco app and the X75 and we need remote speedtest. We need to check the speed between isp and home remotely (from another location) like any others routers apps

@Pichoco I am absolutely baffled. I am not sure what was the reasoning behind this. Was it unreliable or these routers are not representing the actual ISP speed to a decent ratio. Or just a bad decision by product team. Please bring it back.

@bradyjfrey You made a good decision. I had to do the same.
Unfortunately, this make me unlikely to purchase tp-link products in the future.
