Hello,
Sorry that there is currently no new firmware for the Archer C5 V4, please kindly verify the 5G disconnect issue you are encountering and we will see how to fix it.
1. Do you mean the 5G connection is not stable but 2.4G and wired connection of this C5 V4 is good? If so, please try to verify if the 5G unstable issue occurs on all of your 5G devices or some of them.
2. If all of the 5G devices are encountering the same disconnect issue, please try to change the 5G channel and channel width, such as channel 36/40/42 and channel width 40MHz, then reboot the router to check again, below is the guide:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2292/
3. If changing wireless settings on the C5 doesn't help, please try to reset it to factory and reconfigure it from scratch and monitor the performance.
Thanks again for your time and patience.

@Kevin_Z Thanks for your response. I did try the channel changing option and it did not help. When I try to connect it says Internet connectivity not available. This happens only with 5GHz. 2.4 continues to work properly.

@Kevin_Z It was provided to me via my ISP. It holds the default firmware from tp-link only.
