Wifi security WPA2 AES missing in Deco M9 Plus?
I am trying to connect my car ( Volvo XC60 ) to my Wifi. The car wants me to change WPA2 to AES instead of TKIP!
So no connection!
Connection to another Wifi router with WPA2 AES is OK!
I can not find any place in the Deco M9 settings to change Wifi security!
Any clues??

Hi all,
Currently, there is no way to fix the security to WPA2 or AES only on the Deco device. It is suggested to try to fix the security on the client devices if they support it.
With security in mind, this would be an important feature to have. This will be forwarded as a feature request to our developers for consideration with the highest priority.
Thank you all again.

Hello, thanks for bringing this up.
For WPA3 compatibility list, it is suggested to keep an eye on the TP-Link official website:

@Ingvar I discovered this software issue between Deco and Volvo's software a few weeks ago. After determining neither systems could be changed I have discovered a workaround by fitting an old Netgear Wifi extender to my router (the one the Deco is meshing) and setting it to AES only and the car now connects to that. It does mean I have to have one device plugged in specifically for my car but I'll only plug it in say once a month for updates until hopefully either the Deco or Volvo's settings can be changed.

@Crowe10291 do you plug it in to one of the Deco ethernet port or do you plug it in the main router? I might try plugging in the Apple Airport router that this deco M5 replaced

If you require to customize the wireless security urgently, we may need to say sorry for now, as it is not supported on the current firmware yet.
As we responded previously, this request has been forwarded to the developer with the highest priority and they will evaluate it, thus we hope our customers can give us more patience.
Thanks.
