TP-Share folder not showing all files and folders
I have a USB HDD plugged into my router and used it to successfully share all the files to all my smart devices. Recently, I don't know why, it doesn't display all files and folders. On my laptop is the same. However, the full folder sda1(\\tp-share) shows everything. The issue is with the TP-Share folder that the router makes available on the network to smart TVs and smart phones. My TV now only has about eight movies showing available instead of the 100+. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Any word on this from the engineers?
I'm having the same issue.
I tried deleting that directory you mentioned early, but that didn't do any good.
I'm have an Archer A7, and I have the newest firmware on it.

So, I guess this is an issue that will not be resolved.

I really hope they fix it. I'm having the exact same problem.
My DLNA-capable bluray player (oppo bdp-95) can only see a few of the files. Some of the folders show up as (null) and contain nothing, most doesn't show up at all. If I use a small dlna server on my pc (oShare) to share the exact same network folders, everything works fine. It's only the direct access from my player to the network hard drive that has issues. In turn, there are no issues if I go bluray player -> win10 oShare -> network hard drive. Really annoying. I'd rather not have to turn on my pc every time I wan't to play something from that hard drive ..

Came here to add a similar thing is happening with my even newer router, AX21, and using a USB drive as a DLNA media server. So yes, definitely a firmware issue. And yup, even found some postings of USB drive issues with TP-Link routers as far back as 2013.
I'm using a 500GB Crucial SSD, model CT500MX500SSD1, only partial listing of mp4s on the drive appear when viewing as a DLNA media server through VLC (under 'Local Network->UPnP'). When viewing over the network as either a Samba or FTP network drive using MacOS Explorer, all files do appear correctly in correct folder locations.
The mp4's are all the exact same video codec/format & resolution, so has nothing to do with the files themselves.

May I have the firmware version of the AX21? How many video files can be accessed via DLNA server? As mentioned in previous posts that the files number may have a limit of 10000, you may not see more than that.

The same problem with a router ax50 (ax3000).
It is too important a problem. I'm going to return the equipment.
In addition, Also he do not have wpa3 or mesh networks.
Too many limitations.

The same problem, as I understand it, with the entire AX series. The DLNA server in the router does not see more than 10,000 files and folders. Shame....

I have bought AX11000 recently and have the same problem with DLNA server. It does not have anything to do with HDD I use. I have a folder with lot of pics taken from same Nikon camera. The DLNA share only shows 7 out of over 200 in the same folder. They were all taken on the same day and have same file format (.jpg). I don't know why it does that. I even tried copying it to different new HDD and share it. I have same issue but this time it shows 19 of more than 200 photos.
When I connected back my old HDD it shows 26 photos this time. So obviously there is an issue with DLNA server you have on the firmware. Can you please suggest steps to over write the DLNA with another custom DLNA product? Or atleast a way to clear DLNA database file and reload it with complete file set.
